Acara Global Mobile Awards yang baru saja berlangsung di Barcelona, Sepanyol baru-baru ini telah mengumumkan senarai pemenang untuk tahun 2011. Beberapa pembuat telefon dan pemaju perisian terkenal telah menerima anugerah. Ada keputusan yang sudah dijangka, sementara yang lain datang sebagai kejutan.Daripada senarai 25 kategori anugerah yang diberi, apa kata kita lihat tiga kategori paling menarik - Best Mobile Award, Device Manufacturer of the Year award dan Best Mobile App Award. Anugerah Device Manufacturer of the Year award pula disambar oleh HTC. Syarikat Taiwan ini bangkit sendiri di arena antarabangsa dari kekaburan sebagai syarikat yang kurang dikenali sehingga menjadi antara pengeluar telefon bimbit terkemuka dengan jenama segar dan pemasaran dan menawarkan portfolio yang kukuh di seluruh platform perisian. Syarikat ini adalah syarikat yang bertanggungjawab menjadikan perisian Android terkenal diseluruh dunia, terutama sekali melalui model HTC Desire. HTC juga diiktiraf berdasarkan perkhidmatan pelanggan yang baik.
Di segi perisian pula, Rovio membawa pulang dua anugerah sekaligus iaitu App of the Year untuk Platform Apple dan juga sebagai Best Mobile App secara keseluruhan.
Google dan BlackBerry memenangi anugerah untuk aplikasi terbaik pada platform mereka sendiri, untuk Google Maps dan BlackBerry Messenger masing-masing. Herocraft & InnerActive juga membawa pulang "App of the Year on Nokia Platform, " anugerah untuk permainan Zum Zum.
